Review:

"Che Chai noodles" is also called "La Cha noodles", a Hong Kong traditional food. It was meant to be a very cheap kind of food for working-class, so the ingredients are something very cheap, such as fish balls, radishes, squids, etc. Customers can choose different ingredients for different noodles. With the improved living standards, the need of cheap food became less necessary, but this kind of noodles are still popular among the more upper-class customers. So today the ingredients have a larger variety, less regard of the price. For the noodles, there are many different choices, such as: rough, vermicelli, rice noodles, instant noodles, or udon.

Wing Kee noodles is so famous among "Che Chai noodles" restaurants, because their soup-base for the noodles is made of soy sauce and is continuously boiled for many years already. There are many different Chinese traditional flavoring in this special soy sauce soup, such as clove, star anise, etc.

On the other hand, because of their special soy sauce, they also have a special dish, the "chicken wing tips with soy sauce". The wing tips have fully absorbed the soy sauce, and hence it is really delicious. Noodles and wing tips served with a bottle of coke makes a perfect meal.
