Review:Mak's most famous dish is their Wonton Noodle. They pride themselves upon using fresh shrimps in their ingredients. Mak's Noodle has been a family business since 1960. During the days of early Republic of China, Mr Mak Woon-chi invented using shrimps as the ingredient of Wonton, and flavoring the soup by adding powdered dried flounder, dried shrimp roe and pork bones, and since then the name "King of the Cantonese Wonton" was given to Mak Woon-chi. His invention became the 'authentic' Cantonese Wonton nowadays. Mak's Noodle is run by Mak Chi-ming(Mak Woon-chi's grandson). There is no difference in their recipe. The soup base has remained unchanged in these hundred years. Many customers are curious that the noodles are filled in such a small bowl. In fact, Wonton was originally intended to be a snack and not a main dish in Canton. Ratings:
